Council on Nursing Practice

The Council on Nursing Practice (CNP) consists of five members appointed by the Board of Directors and representation from the Rural Health Committee, the HIV/AIDS Advisors, and each of the clinical and functional practice units. The Council addresses practice-related concerns, barriers to quality care and health system issues of mutual concern across specialties and settings.

The Council works hand in hand with elected leaders of our Board of Directors to carry out our mission. It also helps coordinate NYSNA's practice focus groups, groups of nurses working together in different specialities.
